In nature lies the beginning of all things. To touch the memory of soil and stone, to hear their voices, to grow familiar with them. Soil, wind, water, wood, fire—to reunite each element and give them form. To commune with nature, tracing the myriad landscapes dwelling within a handful of soil.
Laetitia Pineda
Laetitia lives in the forests of Dordogne, creating ceramics from materials sourced from the rich nature surrounding her. On nights when the forest is enveloped in silence—by the small light of a candle, she gently shapes each piece, as if breathing life into it through the sensation of her fingertips. This exhibition features new small plates modeled after magnolia petals, alongside teapots, cups, and other tea ware— vessels designed to accompany daily life.

The place she have now reached along that journey.

When making things out of wood, I sometimes feel a strange sense of déjà vu in the grain of the wood. Intricate patterns like a clouds trailing in the sky, distant mountains, cliff formations or clam shells can be found in the small planks. But it is no coincidence that macro and micro landscapes of the natural world, seemingly unrelated to the wood, exist within the wood. Through wood, I can see the great principles of nature and life.
We will be holding a solo exhibition by woodworker Kazuto Yoshikawa. Please come and visit our Yamanashi store, where a pleasant breeze blows through in the height of summer.

The colors and shapes of the abundant plants in the garden of evam eva yamanashi will be transferred to thread and fabric, creating a “specimen room” through dyeing and weaving. We have always wanted to share the plants that give us color and the climate that nurtures them, and we were blessed with the opportunity to do so. Please come and explore the specimen room and garden in this beautiful spring weather.
