We are pleased to present a solo exhibition of Yoshimichi Yoshida, a bamboo artist in Azumino. The supple and delicate bamboo lots create rich shapes and shadows. This exhibition, his first in six years, will focus on flower baskets. Please drop by when the summer air eases and the early autumn wind blows.
When making things out of wood, I sometimes feel a strange sense of déjà vu in the grain of the wood. Intricate patterns like a clouds trailing in the sky, distant mountains, cliff formations or clam shells can be found in the small planks. But it is no coincidence that macro and micro landscapes of the natural world, seemingly unrelated to the wood, exist within the wood. Through wood, I can see the great principles of nature and life.
We will be holding a solo exhibition by woodworker Kazuto Yoshikawa. Please come and visit our Yamanashi store, where a pleasant breeze blows through in the height of summer.

The colors and shapes of the abundant plants in the garden of evam eva yamanashi will be transferred to thread and fabric, creating a “specimen room” through dyeing and weaving. We have always wanted to share the plants that give us color and the climate that nurtures them, and we were blessed with the opportunity to do so. Please come and explore the specimen room and garden in this beautiful spring weather.
